Satpol PP Deploys 300 Officers to IYC 2021 Tournament

Some 300 officers of Satpol PP have been on standby to escort and secure the International Youth Competition (IYC) 2021 tournament in Jakarta, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta.

300 officers are alerted every day

Jakarta Satpol PP Head Arifin disclosed that Satpol PP officers were alerted to maintain public order for the guests and the stadium area. It was also focused on the gaps at the entrance to the stadium's inner circle to keep out non-invited spectators.

"300 officers are alerted every day. This is also done to prevent street vendors (PKL) around the stadium, especially at the entrance," he explained, Thursday (3/14).

Some were also alerted at hotels where players and officials were staying, such as Holiday Inn Hotel, Sunter and Shangri-La Hotel, and Tanah Abang.

Alerts are also carried out to secure and control public order around VIP guest locations," he added.

As for the information, IYC is part of the JIS Malam #StadionKita Soft Launching series. Two of the world's biggest clubs, Barcelona U-18 and Atletico Madrid U-18 will participate in this tournament.

There will also be presenting shows involving 75 performers to 127 creative workers.
